Finally a way to track shell commands without losing my mind

I started using Shournal via Github last month after my coworker at the lab mentioned it during lunch. It's been tracking every shell command and file access without me lifting a finger. This is worth a look if you've lost track of what you ran three weeks ago.

I agree, Shournal is very helpful with tracking shell command, it's great for audits, reproducibility or just finding out what you did during complex workflow.

Audits and reproducibility are great points. I hadn't even thought of that. I was just tired of forgetting what I had done on a project a month ago. Have you found a good way to search through the logs for a specific analysis?
